to me as a new member this was a sad suprise, I thought this was about to get initiated, I thought it was absurd that most of the tech here i bought i could drive and get from the factory from sweden cheaper than the taxes to buy it after an french or german or factory in romania assemble the probably chineese parts and then ship them to the US so we can buy them back to EU again at a hefty tax and environmental cost. EU is populated in the likes of India, if you would actually go on with the idea you would EXPLODE once it gets a grip, do you think focal, sennheiser and heck id say the majority of things i see here originated out of a US-centric need for things? we're 3-4 or even 5 times more people combined than the states, what an huge miss-calculation to not get rooted in europe, every single time its like borderline if its actually worth the purchase when you take taxes in consideration and even more so when you remember damn how much easier it would be to handle if there was problems with orders etc not ot mention how shitty it feels to fly a pair of headphones across the atlantic sea twice so i can make at best a rather small gain on it, for me it was a design exclusive to massdrop on one item and the sennheisers are in fact all included still a attractive deal. perhaps its good for my brain and pockets that i cant justify getting every headphone i see here without the taxes and potential hustle with some sort of missfortune but just for the damn planet we should stop shipping things around for NO reason. If my company had an opening this obvious we'd go after it like it was the world cup trophy, I've only been able to semi justify two so far, both were made here. I work in E-commerce and if this isn't an opportunity lost i dont know what is.
