I have pretty strong reservations against minimalist watches; but can't wear a diver every god damn day, can I? So I liked this Seagull (changed the strap), it's in a style that I would call "intense dress". Lots of things going on on the dial, but still classy, I think. I don't see this brand very often, but it's a shame, because the quality really is great.

Here I took some pictures of the back just for you (if that's not dedication…). I agree it looks like shit in the video, but they must have filmed a prototype or something, because the back of mine look good.

Thanks man! Really: I wonder what the heck they filmed because that is not good advertising! That thing looked rough! I was like crossing my fingers into a stake after seeing that! This really cleared things up. Thanks a lot. I seriously consider getting one, because like you said: you can't wear a diver every day 😁

My pleasure! Yeah the chinese don't seem to put as much emphasis on marketing. Maybe it's reassuring, in a way? They must trust their products. I recommend it :) (just put it on a "jubilee" nato from cheapestnatostraps and still looks classy, so quite versatile).
Wait--are you saying there are watches other than divers? Stop it, you're frightening the children!

I just looked it up there, and I have to say: that is an expensive (+/- $180) watch - for a Chinese watch. Now, I am particular about my watches and do not care for brand or anything: because if I like a watch I'll get it regardless of brand and all that. And this one has a great looking case, dial etc. In fact I like it a lot... However, the deal breaker for me is the video they have of it, and if you look at the close-ups they have on the caliber itself, it's an instant no-go for me! Seriously this is rough looking and looks like they use 15W40 engine oil to lube it too...

Does yours look this bad? I mean: if it's that rough just skip the display back!
