It seems the tent is not wide enough for two wide sleeping pads (50" for pads vs 47" for tent). Or will they fit if we angle the poles a bit or with a bit of trickery, without making the pitch less solid/stable? This is key for me, as I have another two persons tent which is great, but does anot allow us to use two wide sleeping pads. Can someone confirm/deny this, please?

pagulloThe tent will fit two wide pads. Like many trekking pole tents, the floor width depends on how tight you pull the inner at the adjustable peaks (pulling it taller pulls the floor narrower because it lifts on the sides). The floor is typically 50-51" and ranges from 47-54" depending on whether you have it extremely tight (47") or loose (54"). So that 47" spec is very conservative and with a normal pitch it'll be 50+ inches wide.

dandurstonGreat! I expected no less given the great work you did with the 1P tent: the attention to detail was something to behold :)

pagulloHey @pagullo, I used the tent with an exped megamat Duo wich specs as 52” wide. Only downside of this arrangement is the pad is over 9lbs...

MichaelBretzThat's my favorite sleeping pad for winter camping! 9lb isn't a problem on a pulk, nor is the bulk ;-D

pagulloTwo Therm-A-Rest NeoAirs in large size (25" x 77") fit fine, either both head ends together, or offset head - to - foot. Here's a picture showing how it looks offset. I had it set up on a mild slope, so one pole was 122.5cm (~48") and the other 125cm (~49").
