Monoprice Liquid Platinum
more_vert
There is a nice discount on amazon right now for Monoprice’s Liquid Platinum (designed by Alex Cavalli) for $615 as opposed to the original price of $769. From reviews online the Liquid Platinum is a fully balanced hybrid amp (a full circuit for each channel) and aims to be comparable to legendary Liquid Crimson (originally over $2000) that Cavalli developed when he had his company and is considered wildly to be one of the best amps by audiophiles. I personally just bought a unit at the discounted price so check it out if you’re interested!

Nice call out, if only they had included a low gain mode I would be more interested. I have no need for another high powered amp (iHA-6, Lyr, and H10). Anyone looking to power harder to driver planars and dynamics would be remiss to not consider this one.

What headphones do you typically use with those amps?

HE500 was the primary purpose behind the high power also use Sine, T-X0ii, HD650, Elex, T1 and X00 with them. With the negative gain options the H10 actually works pretty well with everything.
