Sausage and Cheese Biscuits
2 cups White Whole Wheat Flour 1 tbsp Baking Powder 1/4 tsp Chipotle Powder -- or to taste; really any hot, red powder Salt 4 oz Cheese -- something with a fairly strong flavor; grated or cut in very small pieces 1/2 pkg Smoked Sausage -- chopped 1 cup Milk -- any kind, tho a nondairy milk doesn't brown as much
Preheat oven to 450° and generously grease a baking sheet or line with parchment.
Whisk the flour, baking powder, chipotle powder and salt together in a bowl. Stir in the cheese and sausage. Add in the milk, and stir as little as possible while still mixing well.
Drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet (makes 12). Bake 20 minutes. Let cool a few minutes then eat. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
