Mechanical Keyboards Community Announcements (December 2020)
Greetings Mech Keys Community,
We're now in the thick of the holiday season and wanted to reach out with some exciting updates for you since our last update. Before we jump into things, we want to thank everyone for the patience they've had for the past eight months while we've navigated some delicate logistics and tricky situations. Your continued support and patronage has enabled us to push forward with dozens of initiatives that we think really propel the community and help it grow. So here goes...
Always Open Preorders
We've been consistently adding more products to our "always open pre-order" list and the response has been very positive. By allowing people to order products at their convenience with delivery when production allows, we're removing one of the big barriers to joining the mechanical keyboard community. We'll be expanding this program to nearly all products in the coming months. For those of you requesting those sought-after SP and GMK keycaps, expect to see...
So, I purchased a drop alt high profile and just received it today. Out of the box everything works except for the rgb settings. Upon plugging in the cable to either side of the board the lights flash on and immediately disappear. I've tried cycling through the different modes and still no luck. Anyone have an idea as to what's wrong?
The holidays are the perfect time to give back—especially in this wild year we’ve had. Last year, we were delighted to have a chance to do our part for #TeamTrees with our special Treecaps, which raised over $55,000 for the eco-friendly tree-planting movement. This year, we want to go even bigger!
Introducing Streamcaps: our new charitable initiative in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We’re partnering with 12 different streamers (Twitch, Youtube, TikTok, etc.) from around the country to create 12 one-of-a-kind keycaps. The design on each cap is inspired by the streamer’s unique style, a piece of keyboard art to honor your favorite channels. Starting Tuesday, December 8, you’ll be able to buy single keycaps for $10 apiece, or you can get all 12—plus a bonus rocket keycap designed by a child treated at St. Jude!—for $100.
Best of all? All proceeds* (aside from production and shipping costs) will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: a pediatric facility...
Soooo, I am wanting to build a hexagon keyboard (keycaps) and am wondering if someone has done this?
If so what pcb, switches, keycaps, case, etc. did you use? or can we start a group buy?!

Do HyperX pudding keycaps work on gateron switches?
I was looking into getting some HyperX Pudding keycaps but i was unsure if they would work on Gateron Silent switches, they say any CherryMX switches but some people were saying it worked on any CherryMX compatible switches, so will silent gaterons work?
