Is this £24 Keyboard Kit any good?

EDIT: This is the Doomhammer Choc 87 kit from KBrepublic, that comes in a variety of kit options. I chose the option without switches or LEDs. I *loath* LEDs.

Did you get it already? What is it like?

handsomeneiI did get it, but not soldered yet, as I decided not to use the superior V2Zelios in favour of cheaper ZugGear switches. They arrived a few days ago, so I'll be tackling it this week.

wondering that as well, seems very new. Tbh the kit looks like some unassembled oem board just labelled as a kit. Might still get it for a friend for their first build tho :/

Oof, that was a harsh lesson. May I ask what went wrong?

diggergigwell, mostly it's the stabilizers, no matter how cheap you want the build to be, i would say get genuine GMK stabilizers, makes a world of difference. I used some bad stabilizers which are untuneable and space bar feels very uneven when pressing down from different positions. second is never solder in leds unless ur 100% content with your build and wont change anything in the future, adding leds makes the switches near impossible to desolder and really risk burning the pcb while desoldering. Just dont repeat these two mistakes that I did
