I remember when Massdrop did group tier purchases. Prices was tiered based on the MASS of people committing to buy the product. Nothing was purchased before the minimum levels were reached. You could choose to commit to a specific price tier, and it felt like both MASSDROP and the other patrons were all working together to get the best stuff in bulk at discount. Total shame that model ended. Then Massdrop shifted to straight up early presale model. Commit to a product they didn't start making yet as an early backer and you'll get store credit or some other bonus like serialization and an exclusive Q/A video of the designer while waiting the 10 months for the product to be completed. Then around the same time the diversification of the products/communities were expanded. Boy i discovered so many quality items on Massdrop from belts to cooking gadgets, to the best coffee machine ever that i cannot live without. The pants trolley may be the best discovery of them all for me. The website was fun and easy to explore. The communities were pleasant to follow. Then Drop.com happened, and the website has been relaunched numerous times. Each time less intuitive. I've bought into many pocket knife sales, edc sales, i bought a keyboard, clothing, desk chair, pants trolley, cooking thermometers, luggage, pens/pencils, notebooks, umbrellas, winter hats and gloves, multiple earbuds, and my wife got crafting stuff many times too. I joined in 2016. all that in only 3 years. Massdrop was never able to hold onto an identity very long, and they still can't. Seems to me their patrons are following suit. It was great mostly while it lasted. Good luck selling your remaining stock.
