Will you be using your mobo or sound card for dac/amp and are you willing to invest for external; what brand/model do you have now?

jyonaWas hoping that you had a mobo with switchable opamp(s), for a simple upgrade, that one apparently not. The 58X is a good choice to drive from a PC, and they will scale with you as you try other sound solutions. If you don't want externals plugged into your PC hanging about, and want to use that as your "center", get the Audio Note & EVGA collaboration product, the NU AUDIO sound card (DROP should drop;) and upgrade at least the headphone opamp to a MUSES02. A friend did this and loves it as his PC nexus w/o shit hanging about. He has both 58X and the 660s, the 58X stays mostly attached to the PC for music while working and gaming. An unlikely, but very serendipitous joining of forces, at a crazy low price point for what you get... "The connection between Audio Note (UK) and EVGA goes back a long way. Andrew, CEO of EVGA is a lifelong, dedicated audiophile and music lover, and when he was seeking the best system to explore his passion for the recorded arts, he of course chose Audio Note (UK). The driving forces behind the two companies have a lot in common; Andrew, Peter Qvortrup, the head of Audio Note (UK) and Andy Grove, the company’s designer in chief are all driven by the desire to make the best products possible, regardless of the development costs and challenges that may occur." https://www.dagogo.com/story-evga-nu-audio-card-engineered-audio-note-uk/ EVGA & Audio Note are trying hard to tell you, with a big green arrow, that the current opamps are "place holders" until you can upgrade...

https://www.audionote.co.uk/ You want the product of a boutique device fab, making these things for a single purpose,, music. A funny post I like, though rings true... pricey little thing... buy from a registered distributor, like Mouser, too many fakes out there... that itself speaks... most marginal/bad reviews are thought to come from folks using Chinese fakes, logical... https://www.njr.com/MUSES/
