Best grinder for pour over? Do I go with a hand grinder like the Lido grinders or just get a dedicated burr grinder like an Encore?

DrJ6I'd highly recommend the Porlex Mini Hand Grinder. It is made from stainless steel and has durable ceramic burrs which grind, not chop, the beans and the burr won't heat up like some steel blades do. It's small, compact and rugged - perfect for throwing into a backpack when heading out hiking or to the beach.

DrJ6Baratza Forte BG, Vario-W (swap out for steel burrs), or Virtuoso. Then have a separate grinder for espresso.

DrJ6The Lidos are really incredible but you gotta commit to doing that every morning. I've ground probably 70kg+ of coffee with mine over the last 3 years for French press, Aeropress, V60, and Chemex and it's never missed a beat. The main issue is cleaning and reassembly is a PITA and, though they say you don't need to often, you really wanna get the oils off at least once a month. I can tell when I haven't wiped down the burrs in awhile.
EDIT: Worth noting that the Lido is quicker, easier, and more consistent than the Haro Skerton, Kuissential Evengrind, or the Porlex.
