I am a Citizen fan and have four in my collection (the most of any one manufacturer), and my wife has one as well. I'm not familiar with that particular watch and took a look. It seems fairly expensive for an Eco-Drive watch. What were some of the features of the watch that you think make it worth the premium?

PetrosD"What were some of the features of the watch that you think make it worth the premium?" This is the very question I was asking myself and the question that prompted my post. I agree with you that Eco-Drive alone doesn't warrant the premium. Some other notes about it: It's supposedly hand-assembled. I know it comes with sapphire crystal (with an anti-reflective coating on both sides), chronograph (obviously), date and month, perpetual calendar, and a minute repeater. Even with that list... I still concur with your thought. This is why I thought it may be a good fit for MD—it's not a great deal to me at retail, but maybe it is at some lower price.
Just a few other notes: I can no longer find it on Citizen's website. I'm unsure if it's still being made. Also, Citizen used to have a version with a stainless steel bracelet. I think that version was discontinued. I only see the titanium version floating around on various websites. Some people prefer the lightness of titanium; I'm not sure how I'd feel about it.
All that said, I just think the watch looks great. And, I feel like Citizen watches have a solid reputation for reliability and quality. I'd love to hear your thoughts, thanks!

DrumalienI have my reservations about titanium as well. I don't mind the weight of a stainless steel watch, and I don't think I'd like the easier to scratch titanium. As far as the watch complications, as much as I like Citizen, I can't see paying that much for one myself. I did consider one upwards in the price range with GPS, but I came to my senses. I went with an atomic clock Skyhawk instead and I have no regrets.
