Indeed you can, I personally use one side to connect to my PC and the other side for my Samsung 256gb low profile thumb drive. (You can use a USB-C thumb drive or the Samsung low profile thumb drives comes with a USB-A to USB-C adapter that I leave plugged in so I can plug In just about any regular USB device. (Just remember that even though the CNTRL uses a USB3.0 cable to power the keyboard, the two USB-C ports are usb 2.0, so they aren't made for high speed data transfer using like USB3.0 external hard drives) These two adapters are amazing for plugging in USB thumb drives to your USB-C Port phone to transfer files, or for plugging into the ALT or CNTRL keyboard. And the other adapter does the opposite.
