I like to play electronic and rock music when I'm not listening to the headphones and then I have a track list of 12 songs I know really well, so I can try to monitor progress. Some headphones burn in much harder than others. I like the artist Emancipator for the electronic and Days of the New for rock long burn in sessions, they will stretch and test your drivers as well as anyone. But really anything will work in my experience. Here is my 12 track close listening playlist if you are interested. I typically listen in every 12 hours or so as free time permits. Format is Song - Artist, Album
Sunburn - Fuel, Sunburn Agape - Bears Den, Agape EP (very important that you get this version.) El Paso - Taking Back Sunday, Taking Back Sunday Shelf in the Room - Days of the New, Yelllow Greenland - Emancipator, Safe in the Steep Cliffs Grand Optimist - City and Colour, Little Hell Holocene - Bon Iver, Bon Iver The Waterfrond - Ugly Colors, Perfect as We are Jesus Camp - Now Now, Neighbors Helka - Halos, Living Likes Kings in Confined Spaces Get up and Go - The Sky Life, Caves Fan or Foe - Tech N9ne, Misery Loves Company
one of the most dramatic burn ins I have heard is the JVC HA-FX40 if you don't believe in burn in.. 90 hours of time on these will change your mind.
