These have much less pronounced Beyer Highs, especially if you listen to heavy music, these are better, more pleasant sound The impedance on 177x is lower, 32 vs 250 ohms on 1770, so they are much easier to drive and wont require a amp, but I would still recommend having one with a dac, to make them sound better These have less accessories than 1770, these only come with 1 cable, 2 pads, while the 1770 come with a case,2 cables and 2 pads

they sound different, in terms of pure audio i prefer the 177x, but in terms of accessories the 1770 pro wins hands down

I know I harp on this point, but many Amazon sellers peddle used, grey market, or counterfeit goods. A warranty applies only if you purchase new headphones from an authorized vendor; the BD website has a list of official US dealers. BTW, why is the Drop warranty only one year? The BD factory coverage is two years.
