For someone who isn't north American, what recipes to get me to understand the taste of thanksgiving (turkey doesn't count) would you recommend?

Xuxu_blzTo get a TRUE North American Thanksgiving taste you have to find somebody's obscure family dish that only one person seems to like but it gets made every year because it's tradition. We have an orange jello salad that I swear has cheese in it.
