We just got this oilless "fryer" thing yesterday. It can make fries and stuff. I still want a rice cooker.

LightningStalkerHow did your oilless fryer work out?

OlyGamerGirl It actually works really well. It’s almost as fast as the microwave, the food smells great while it’s cooking, and it’s really quick and easy to put the food into it. I’m going to be using this thing A LOT!

LightningStalkerI don't understand those oilless friers... so you put... french fries into it.. (can it cook anything else?) Do you set a temperature, or is it one temperature fits all? What is the difference between it and baking? As you can see, I don't understand those oilless friers at all. You don't add ANY oil?

brenda52411They can cook all sorts of things. There is usually a temperature and a time setting. We have cooked steaks, hash browns, chicken, and other things in ours. There is a heating element and a fan inside that blows air over the food and the heating element. The only oil used is the oil in the food itself. The reason it works so well is because of the fan. The air moves quickly over the food and heats it faster.
