There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. Well that's not going to happen today because, buddy, you're in the loop! That little beauty up top is a genuine microbrand phenom called the Helm Vanuatu. I've wanted one for a while but my timing has always been off. But your timing is going to be spot-on, because Friday, November 8, at 21:00 UTC, Vanuatu preorders go live! That means you've got plenty of time to plan your move. Couple things you might want to know first: A) they cost $275 plus $30 for worldwide shipping (I say that's a bargain), and B) you have to pay your tab, in-full, up front--meaning if the guy takes all your money and moves to Utah under an assumed name, you're screwed (actually he'd be screwed too--ever been to Utah?) Ha--kidding of course, I love Utah. Okay, here's all the stuff Helm told me (you'll have to go to the website for everything else):
