I would choose the Alpina. Greater heritage, although they are now owned by Citizen, although that's no different than Swatch owning Omega. I also like the lack of numerals on the bezel - reminds me of the Breitling SOH), the larger crown (good for my big fingers), the likely better lume, and the color matched date window. I'm not a diver, so 300m WR is plenty.

PetrosDThanks and you are making a great point. By the way, didn’t know about citizen owning them. Personally, my thing is “attention to details” and I naturally gravitate towards the one that pays more attention to details.

WatchDoctorAlpina is technically owned by Frederique Constant, which was bought by Citizen earlier this year. Still, the brand has heritage back to 1883.

WatchDoctorI have both blue and black divers, so it really depends. If I had no Diver, I personally would start with black. If I had both, it would depend on my collection and how much I like the color blue. The Alpina seems to be a very dark blue, so I might go in that direction because it'll probably sometimes look black. You'd almost get both a blue and black Diver with that one.

PetrosDit's a black dial and a blue bezel. So the dial color is that same for both of them (although in the picture it looks like different shades, but it is not)

WatchDoctorIn that case, I would go all black. If the dial were blue, I'd lean that way.
