ZMF Universe pads are also a great alternative for comfort. Greatly improves the seal and bass response, plus the cutout is still compatible with the tuning foams.

I use the Ether CX for most of my 8 hours working day. I have used both the standard pads and now I am using the angled once. I find both very comfortable and the sound is very good witch every you choose. I actually wore out the standard pads after some time, and had to buy now pads. I will say the comfort is better when the pads are still firm and bouncy, when they get old, the drivers comes to close to the ear and the headphone becomes uncomfortable. I have had the Ether CX since the first drop (Snr# 100) and they are still my goto closed headphone

Get angled earpads. At first they were crushing down on my ears beacus the cups were not deep enough at the back so I whent to Mrspeakers website and got angeld pads from the ether flow.

Jagarmusenone question, how did it change the sound vs the original flat pads? thx in advance
BloodFineGenerally speaking, Angled pads (or other methods of angling the driver) to match with the angle of your ear generally help headphones to produce a deeper soundstage and improve imaging. The trade off is they become less intimate sounding. I generally prefer angled earpads/drivers, because it helps the sound interact with your outer ear more naturally and have better in-front localization, and sound more speaker-like. YMMV, yay choices and options!

For me they end up kinda.. crushing my head a bit over rather extended listening sessions. I suppose the other two commenters have more slender heads than I. But I honestly had to bend the SHIT out of that goddamn band to get them to finally stop crushing my head over 4 to 8 hours of listening to them.

You'll forget you have them on, until your ears start getting hot. Even then, it's still very comfortable.

Very comfy even after 6-8 hours.
