I finally had to replace my blade and found that it was more difficult than it had to be... The screws were fastened a bit too much and oddly the #11 blades are not standard shaped. The slots are too small on X-Acto (which is probably the most popular hobby knife brand).

NO They are NOT easy to replace. In fact I'd say they are impossible to replace. They require a mysterious Torx wrench to remove the heinously tight screws. Ferrum over tightens them because somebody complained about them coming loose. Now they are impossible to remove. And Ferrum Forge and Drop are absolutely no help resolving the issue of not being able to open the knife,

ZeeDanI used a T6 Torx bit to unscrew the screw on my Ruk. Seemed pretty easy to me.

ZeeDanMysterious Torx wrench? Pretty standard in every electronics kit. There are more screw heads than just a Phillips and flat head believe it or not. In fact, every screwdriver bit set from Home Depot comes with Torx nowadays.

Easy is relative. You do have to remove the screws to pull the two halves apart to replace the blade. Easy? Sure. Fast? Not so much.
