Wear Kevlar gloves. There are many comments that have been posted about the blade catastrophically fracturing. Steel toed boots would also be a good idea.

It’s not that I believe the dish washer will damage the knife or make it stain. dish washers can do a couple of things in my experience. 1: weaken the epoxy on the handle assembly, and over time possibly force water/dirt/germs in any gaps that develop where the g10 meets the metal. these are fit well, but nothing is fit perfectly. In addition g10 and metal expand and contract differently with heat. Dishwashers get hotter than the tap water a common person will use. 2: if you aren’t very careful in placement; and a lot of people aren’t, the knife Edge could bang into glass (harder than the knife) or even other forks and knives. This can result in chips or dings in the knife edge, resulting in it dulling quicker. Again, this won’t ruin the knife in a day, a week, or even a month. But you are putting unnecessary wear and tear on the knife that may result in water infiltration into the handle and unnecessary sharpening.

anteck7Totally agree with you on that. I only have used the washer with about three times. I’m very careful where I place it to dry. I don’t want anything touching that edge that doesn’t have to. I ruined a good wood handle knife in the washer before. Funny enough, a couple of days after your comment I was hand washing it and noticed a crack close to the handle on the blade in a circular shape. Through to the other side. I will get some pics and see what Drop says. This is a weird place for a crack that big. I would maybe expect it if I had dropped it on concrete and likely closer to the point. Not on the back.
