Can someone explain what the gap change is?

The gaps are the horizontal spaces between the housing and the keycaps (e.g., the space between where the left side of the tab key ends and the case begins). The gaps have been reduced in this version (aka better tolerances) for a better look.

viciou5And that gap reduction works wonders on GMK keycaps. There have been problems reported with other profiles like MT3. Because the top plate is integrated into the case, it's not possible to adjust this by aligning the entire board. However, it may be possible to shim between the switches and the plate holes, to move caps on the edge away from the case.
