Thanks for the discussion! Funnily enough team... almost a year and a half later i had issues with https://hartaudiocables.com/collections/headphone-cables/products/hc-8-4-pin-mini-xlr-female-balanced-headphone-cable Basically the connection to my interconnect: https://hartaudiocables.com/collections/interconnects/products/ic-3-4-pin-xlr wasnt consistent. Id move my head around and ocasionally i lose sound in 1 of the cans.. Either left or right. SO i have gone back to the factor supplied cable for now. AND HATE IT. So... should i buy another 4pin female to female from hart or go elsewhere? SHIPPING TO AUSTRALIA IS ALSO BLOODY COSTLY

Somewhat late to the party… – but CustomCans in Cheltenham, UK: https://www.customcans.co.uk/ They also have an eBay shop: https://ebay.co.uk/usr/customcans Have now bought two pairs of modified headphones from them; two long balanced cables (to go with the former); and several short adaptors… – one of the latter bringing such a smile to my face… – instantly wiping out any scepticism re cable quality and its contribution to musical quality: 15+ cm of cable connecting a 2.5 mm TRRS socket to a four-pin male XLR magically(!?) bringing the sound beautifully to life (in too many ways to go into here)! A small, tightly-knit team: their workmanship and customer service is friendly, professional, and on the humorous side of exemplary… – which is why I keep going back! Merry Christmas(ish)!

Does anyone know a comparable shop in the EU or specifically Germany? Been searching the internet for hours now and couldn't find any. While Hart Audio Cables do dispatch to Germany, the transportation fees are higher than the price of the cable itself.

Nope, I ended up ordering from hartaudiocables.com which I can really recommend. The manufacturers in Germany I asked for quotes just offered super expensive audiophile cables (~800 € and more expensive). So it was more economic to order a cable with a full set of interconnects and case from hartaudiocables. I'm quite happy with the noticable sound change that came with the balanced cable from them. The stock cable is excellent. Great sound, why spend money on another one? They sound perfect to me.

Ask an honest audio engineer and they will tell you cables are irrelevant.

RowartI am an honest audio mastering engineer and I can tell you that the sound changes when a cable is replaced. Cables don't matter for people who can't hear the difference :)

RowartOnly if you tried a bad cable. You will be amazed how a cable can destroy the audio quality. But in general, any bundled cables should suffice in terms of audio quality.
