Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. Again, as a practical matter, either the equipment is working and it sounds the same, or if it doesn't sound like everything else then it is by definition broken. Note that most tube amps do not distort audibly, and even an amp with ~100Ohm output impedance (eg, OTL tube amps) will have a fairly mild effect on the HD6xx and no effect on FR on the HE4xx.
For more information, I wrote a fairly long explanation of technical details here: https://www.massdrop.com/talk/2672/amps-and-da-cs/1881426
