What's a pair of great IEMs for a beginner audiophile?

more_vert
My friend wants to get into the world of audiophile tier sound but doesn't have the time to properly sit down and enjoy headphones or the space for them at work; so I'm wondering, what's a pair of amazing value IEMs that a beginner would love? I'm looking for great sound quality, good build quality and of course, decent pricing. She's from Germany so prices will be a bit higher for her, thought I'd mention that as well.

Check out the drop for the Kinera Idun. They’re dang good IEM. Worth every cent/pence/euro.

Biggest find now is the "HiFiHear BLON 03 in Ear Earphone" They are really fantastic with no faults except the crappy tips. She will need to cut short pieces of the original tips center tube to use for spacers and use some memory foam tips that seal well. The nozzles are a little short and the spacers help keep the foamies located properly. Very easy to drive. Amazon.DE should carry them HiFiHear distributes them in the US for Amazon. 38 dollars in the US.

Tin T3 are the best; great quality sound, super nice cable, machined metal units, and they're available on Amazon.de

Price range would be very helpful to narrow this down. Since she's in Germany it might be a good idea to look at products from both Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic, they have a wide range of quality IEMs.

As a beginner, she will probably want a bit of boost to bass - I found that neutral signatures are really hard for newbies to accept. So I would recommend you the KZ ZS10 Pro, CCA C10, Shozy Form 1.1 or 1More Triple Driver. Those are all below $100. The Tin HiFi T4 is also a good one.

I would recommend the KZ ZS10 Pro or the Tin T2 IEM’s. If you don’t mind spending more than 80 dollars then I would also recommend the Tin T4 IEM’s. You can get the Tin T4 IEM’s here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tin-hifi-t4-in-ear-monitor-earphones#/ UPDATE: The Tin T4 IEM’s are being sold here right now on Drop.
