Anyone has recommendations for shoulder bags for school under $100?
able to fit 3-4 notebooks, 1 1inch binder, a lunchbox, and a XPS13
extra space for storing pens and chargers would be nice to have
All five of the products that I have ordered so far from Massdrop (two more on the way) have arrived in packaging that seemed lazily thrown together. The product's box/bottle would be loose inside the package, with only a few air pillows to fill in the abundant empty space. Thus, there have been a fair few evident dents and bends in the packaging that I've noticed, but didn't pay much mind to initially, as all the products themselves that I have received have been in good condition. Although, it still worries me to a passable extent to merit this post. Can anyone else share my concerns? Should I not worry about it?
What’s your preference: Spyderco Delica or Spyderco Endura?
I currently own a Delica and I absolutely love it. Just joined the Drop for the Super Gold Endura, but was curious what other people prefer and why? (Picture courtesy of the Massdrop Super Gold Delica and Endura.)
Recommended Batteries/Charger for Lumintop ODF30C/BLFQ8
I have a Lumintop ODF30C and a BLFQ8 that I recently picked up from MD. I'm looking to find a solid performing battery brand/type for each along with a charger that can handle both battery types. Anyone have experience with these two models and recommended batteries/charger? Thanks in advance...I'm a beginner here so all input welcome.
Drop starts off 2020 with EDC being part knife people and part EDC people who aren't necessarily liking the Drop focus on knives as much as the knife people are.
Everyone that follows along in EDC probably knows which brands of knife I'd like to see drop that haven't already aired on Drop; I have kinda gone on Tuyaknife, TwoSun and my other favorites elsewhere at significant length already. So here's three things I would like to see get Drops in 2020 that aren't knives.
1) Lanyard Beads
Titanium, copper, brass, damascus, aluminum, zirconium beads are all desirable in the EDC community for anyone who works with lanyards. Drop knows a lot of EDC makers and knifesmiths alike who are in a position to do a quick run of good milled beads to create word of mouth advertising among their communities of fans but don't necessarily want to be Joe the Bead Maker for the rest of their lives because it's probably not as lucrative for them as making their other gear. The...
Delica Rebuild: Copper, HAP40/SUS410, Signet and Fang
Starting with a nonstandard Delica.
In this case, nonstandard in two ways: it's got HAP40 cored SUS410 clad steel, and a Wharncliffe blade:
That faint line you can see running parallel to the edge is where the SUS410 ends and the HAP40 begins. SUS410 is very stainless and HAP40 is very strong -- it's a Hitachi steel with the same formula as CPM Rex 45. It will patina with light use, unlike the SUS410, which is pretty much just there to be stainless and to keep the core layer from cracking from stress. You can try and stop it if you like, the patina, but most people just let it go -- once a patina forms oxidation of the base steel stops.
To break any knife down I usually start with the clip.
Clip fasteners are nearly always T6. Grab a Torx T6 and undo the clip screws. One of them will probably have some threadlocker on it and will take additional grunt. Not much, tho. Spyderco's generally cool about not daubing on threadlocker like they're...
I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger on (Mass)Drop's Terzuola CTF after 8 months of thinking it over. The knife is well-made, easy to carry, and the blade shape is highly functional. I love Terzuola's mark and the anodized titanium hardware.
I ordered the CTF last December for just $87 using Birdshot IV's $50-off coupon code combined with the site's $25-off promo :)
