Do you need an amp to with these?

Just to complement the answer previously stated, it's not a straight yes or no, the criteria to decide to whether you need an amp is based on the impedance on the drivers (in ohms) this cans have 50ohms so your card must have an output impedance to match that. Amplifier output impedance should be lower than 1/8 of the headphone's impedance. Hence for this cans you need a soundcard with an output impedance lower than 50/8 =6.25 ohms.
This is just a rough guideline, as they are exceptions to the rule. There will be other reasons to choose to have a dedicated amp other than driving power of course.

I guess it depends on your system. I have a gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 board and these don't really work well. Probably going to need a AMP/DAC myself. Even tried with a Logitech USB DAC and it isnt working too well. Im just hearing nonsense, and all my friends say the mic comes with a large amount of electrical feedback or it sounds like Im yelling from the other end of the worlds longest hallway.

No these will work just fine with a regular 3.5mm out from a computer, phone etc.
