Ortholinear

more_vert
I'm currently using a Drop Alt with Kailh copper switches as my main driver, but have been thinking about going to something more "ortho." I tried an ergodox, which was a complete failure (it's for sale on ebay right now if anyone is looking for one). I'm thinking about some other option in an ortholinear, potentially split, though I'm not certain about the split part yet, so maybe something that can be split but doesn't need to be. I need backlit keys, and would prefer hot swappable switches, or even a board with no switches, as I'm probably going to stick with the coppers for a while. Any experience with other ortholinears? Are they really a huge change from the standard staggered layout? Any thoughts on what might be out there and interesting? I saw there were a couple of drops here, but nothing that's current... What would almost be ideal would be an ortholinear version of the Alt with a split that can either be used or not, depending on the situation and preference.

erickongThanks! I don't think Drop ever offered a split version of this, right?
