What could I buy that would allow me to listen to music wirelessly with a helmet on?

more_vert
I recently started skiing and like most sports I like to listen to music while I play, but wearing earphones really hurts my ears. I was looking on YouTube and there were plenty of ones on how to make it into a headset or wired ones, but I’m really trying to get something that allows me to be able to just put on my helmet and play music through my phone without and discomfort or hassle. I’m also completely open to DIY, but would like to know what I would buy to accomplish such a goal. Please leave a comment if you have any suggestions, all answers are appreciated.

i used sena when it first came out, and they work better than I expected. however now there are many other options. ES100 MK2 and some custom IEMs is what I plan on doing in May. I’ll keep you updated if I recommend them or not. already have the ES100 MK2 and that thing is great.

humans are great. they're over-ears without the band connecting the two ears. I don't think drop sells them, but it's probably the clearest audio you'll find for your setup.

Sena makes helmet speakers.

A few years ago I bought a helmet with built-in speakers (made by Demon). It’s not perfect, but it’s far better than earbuds or IEMs.

First, you should never destructively modify a piece of safety equipment like a helmet. What have you tried using with your helmet on? Just wired IEMs? Wireless IEMs?
