We want to ask a simple question…
Do you care about personalizing the products you’re most passionate about?
This could include your name or initials, or even just serialized numbers to make it truly one of a kind and made especially for you.
In the Audiophile Community, this would mainly mean your headphones (as we’ve done this kind of thing in the past), but could also mean other products too. If there’s enough interest here, we can take this to the next step. We’ll also pose this exact question to other communities as well if we believe this is something the community truly desires.
We’re listening closely so let us know in the comments below.
I need a quality and long battery support Earbud, Which brands will be better?
My son demands me for a pair of earbud and he ordered to buy an Apple airpod. But now I am not able to afford the price. Even I cannot avoid my son's demand. From 5 hours i am searching low budget earpod but can not decide. Highly I can invest $100 for the earbud. I choose 3 brands, just suggest me which one i can pick!!!
My opinion anker
It looks like I electrocuted my lambs wool (I didn't), but I'm more impressed that it stood up on its own. Does your gear do any tricks? [besides turning electromagnetic impulses into sound waves]
I'm a composer, and need a pair of headphones for writing and mixing. I have a pair of Genelec 1031A I'll also be referencing, but the bulk of my time will be on headphones and would like them to be as neutral as possible with good imaging. Budget is roughly $500-$600.
Any recommendations? I've spent countless hours reading articles, threads, watching youtube reviews, and keep coming out with different answers. The four I see mentioned alot are:
Sennheiser HD 6 series (600, 650, 6xx, 660s, feels like everyone has a different favorite)
Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO (although some say high end is too harsh?)
HiFiMan Sundara (sounds like QC issues though, and it seems they aren't a reputable brand)
Audeze LCD-1 (just don't see this get praised as much as the others)
Any advice you can give is appreciated. I feel like I'm making no progress narrowing it down.
I was looking into buying some IEM headphones here but none of these provide Bluetooth connecting cables for replacement.
I am a fan of wired headphones because I am an old-fashioned guy but sometimes I feel like my gym workout would be easier if I wasn't confined to my wired connection.
I've found some replacement Bluetooth wires for MMCX on Amazon with mixed reviews and the 2-pin connectors had different measurements and wasn't sure whether they would work.
Does anyone have any experience with Bluetooth connecting replacement cables and if so:
Which pair of headphones/connectors do you use?
Which replacement cables you got?
Is it worth getting?
Any advise on 2 pin/MMCX/other compatibility?
An incredible challenge posted by Audeze official - will Dan, Sennheiser and Focal step up?
This is real. This isn't a hoax. Attached is a screenshot from the Audeze LCDi4's Amazon page. Transcribed below:
Buyer Question: How much do these headphones cost to manufacture? I'm curious what the markup is
Audeze's Response: No problem - just ask Sennheiser, Focal, HiFI Man, Beyer, and Mr. Speakers what their BOM costs are and send it to Audeze, and we'll post our information.
(Note from me - BOM = bill of materials)
You can see by the SELLER label this is the actual reply from Audeze official.
Audeze has since deleted the comment, but I was amazed to see someone both bold enough to ask this question, and Audeze being bold enough to reply. I screenshotted the comment not realizing they later deleted the reply, immortalizing it forever.
I think Dan of Mr. Speakers lurks Massdrop, and maybe others do too. What do you say? Can we get sign-offs from the major players to agree to post their production costs? Audeze has issued this incredible challenge, who will step up?
