Review from Passion for Sound:
The Massdrop x Alex Cavalli Tube Hybrid: In With the New
The new Cavalli Tube Hybrid is an evolution of the original Compact Tube Hybrid DIY project.
The new “CTH” has significant improvements to the original design: Higher power output, approximately 1W into 50 ohms. The new CTH has some global negative feedback reducing the gain from the mu of the triode to a more manageable gain of 8x. By reducing the gain, we are able to make the amp work with the widest array of headphones through a very simple design to operate. The unity gain, discrete output buffers on the new CTH are updated versions of the buffers used in the Cavalli Audio Liquid Glass amplifier and provide the same or better performance.

The original CTH used a 24VAC wall wart power supply. This is suitable for a DIY project, but this type of power supply is uncommon and introduces raw power line AC and...

Super Best Audio Friends
I have no clue how these flew under the radar but I had an ad pop-up advertising this new headphone. I haven't been able to find a ton of info on it but apparently it's already on sale: https://www.moon-audio.com/focal-elegia-headphones.html. I don't know what other shops are selling this but there are TONS of pictures here.
If this sounds like a closed-back version of the Clear (this is using the copper voice coil), I think I'll be in heaven. They also come with the Focal hard case and the pad design looks different compared to current offerings.
Color me excited.
EDIT: Just found measurements and I like what I see: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/focal-elegia-measurements.890447/
Focal finally updated their website too: https://www.focal.com/en/headphones-0/headphones/home/elegia
Benchmark HPA4 Review - Andrew Everard, HI-FI NEWS
"Benchmark describes its product as a 'reference Stereo Headphone Amplifier and Reference Line Amplifier with Relay Gain and Input Control', which should give you some idea of what's going on here, but only hints at the fact that this is actually two completely separate products packed into one relatively compact unit.""Unlike most headphone amps able to do double duty as a preamp, this one doesn't split its output ... but actually has discrete amplifier sections for the two functions.""The headphone section is powered by a power amp from THX, employing the same AAA (Achromatic Audio Amplifier) technology first used by the company in its AHB2.""Benchmark's line amplifier uses relays for input selection, gain control and muting while four independent 256-step attenuators ... feed the the headphone ... and preamp outputs.""As PM notes in his Lab Report, this design gives the HPA4 not only outstanding performance, but also rather impressive - to say the least - signal delivery."
I'm looking for a pair of fun (not flat sounding) closed back headphones between these prices: 100-150€/108-165$ aprox.
On the one hand, I've got this two options in mind: Denom AH-D1200 and Beyerdinamic 770 pro. Could someone tell me his/her impresiones about them? Because I cannot test them, and I'm not sure which one is better and if there are better options in that interval.
On the other hand, 80ohms beyer option could be worth? I mean, I've got a Focusrite Scarlet Solo 2gn, is that enough to move it?
Thanks for the info and comments! 😄
Grab HP Printer Support to Connect Printer To Wi-Fi Network
Because of connectivity over wireless network makes these printers user-centric. In order to take the benefit of sharing printing, you need to grab HP Support if you don’t know the procedure. As many people are not familiar that how they can connect their HP printer to a wireless network so, they need to make connection with well-experienced techies.
I bought the Varmilo Dragon Phoenix VA104M Mechanical Keyboard and initially it worked great. I'm on a Mac, so I got some mac modifier keys at maxkeyboard.com. The only problem with them is that the LED backlights shine brighter through these than the other keys. I may try to attenuate the keys somehow. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately I've run into a bigger problem: I used the traditional method of remapping the modifier keys to the mac layout (through the Keyboard panel in the system preferences) and all was fine for about 2 weeks. Then all of a sudden certain keys seemed to remap themselves. I reset the Keyboard mapping in the system preferences and this is what I'm left with (using Windows ID's):
Left Control is mapped to Caps Lock
Right Control is fine
Caps Lock is mapped to both Control keys
Both ALT keys are mapped to nothing, unresponsive
Both "Window" keys are mapped to the ALT keys
I installed Karabiner - Elements and was able to remap the Caps Lock and Control keys to...
