more_vert
Wich one to choose? It will be my first tt setup. 1) Debut Carbon> Schiit Mani Phono> Schiit Magni3+ 2) Debut Carbon> Schiit Mani Phono> Schiit Vali2 3) Debut Carbon> Schiit Jotunheim with Phono Or is there other better suggestions. Also plannining to add powered speakers. Thanks in advace.

I spent some time listening to the Andover Audio Model One Turntable Music System at CanJam NYC 2020. It's an all-in-one type of solution that had a throwback 70's feel to it. It was a pretty neat system with built-in speakers (Four 3.5", Two AMT tweeters). Granted, it was under show conditions but it didn't sound bad at all. The built-in dedicated headphone amp runs Class A to a 1/4" jack. I tried it with their own headphones, my Quad ERA-1 & my Elex. Again, under show conditions, it sounded pretty good. The built-in turntable is a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit SB with an Ortofon OM2 Silver cartridge. The only possible negative from a tech aspect was that it was only running a 24/96 dac. Price was $2500.

Personally I upgraded from Magni 3 to JDS Labs Atom and it sounds better. Lower noise floor, more clarity with my hd6xx. I have it paired with modi 3 which I can recommend, just go with the SPDIF input :)

I go mani to magni 3; it works for me. I start from an old Dual from the early 70s though. I’ve heard good things about the Vali but haven’t heard it myself. I do heart my Schiit though!
