There Is a lot of alternative optional cable for these. What’s wrong with the stock ones? Are they not balanced? Assuming I plug them in a XLR adapter that is.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with the stock cable. It could be balanced EXCEPT for the TRS connector on the amplifier end of the cable. To make it balanced you would have to cut off the TRS and solder on a balanced connector such as XLR4 etc. If you plug the stock cable into an XLR adapter the result will not be balanced, but it will work, and might even sound just as good as a true balanced cable.

jgillinghamI just realized that the last sentence in my reply above is bad advice. If you plug the stock cable into a TRS-to-XLR adapter, then the "negative" phases of the amp's left and right channels will be shorted together. Most amps won't like that, so don't do it. Use a proper balanced cable instead.
