Hello everyone, My name is Alexander Krivosheya. I am an engineer by vocation, I have experience in 3D graphics and a love of devices. One day I was visited by the idea of creating an unusual knife. I love tech-wear and I always noticed that devices for this style of clothing are not available on the market. He was inspired by the game when he read in the morning that Elon Musk created a cyber car, decided that I would create a cyber knife, I already had some experience and I got down to business. I’ve already done some sketching by hand, but the render of the final knife looked something like in the picture.

Since in the process of creating prototypes I tried almost all available metals: titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, copper and even magnesium. But I applied marketing kung fu and created a site that is still polling. At the moment, the titanium configuration won, and I started production, deciding to create 30 prototypes that I would send to bloggers around the world for review. You can also vote for the configuration option you like here... |

So, the first thing I did was cut the blades from a stainless steel sheet on a Bystronic laser machine. Having extensive experience working with lasers, this task turned out to be the simplest.

On the blade placed an engraving with the name. Also on the puck, which we call Halo, there is a serial number, since in total I plan to create 2077 units of this knife, in honor of the game, which I look forward to this fall. also based on there is an engraving with Japanese characters サイバーパンク, which means, in Japanese, Cyberpunk.

Engraving was done on a powerful and very modern laser of 50 watts. Triumph TR-F50M

The first finished sample had serious defects, but the external style fascinated me again and again.

Since the first product will be limited to the 2077 series, I created certificates for each knife with a key to tighten the screws during operation.

And, perhaps, one of my main ideas is to ask CD Project to write about me as a fan of their games and about my idea.

Looks cool. Would like to see a short clip of the mechanism working to deploy and retract the blade. Speaking of clips, is there a pocket-clip? With everything else interesting-looking going on, I couldn’t quite pick one out. All the best for the project.

Oh thanks!Exoblade has an inertial opening. I will show the video soon. I was curious, first of all, how the knife will work if it moves like a train on rails ... But the principle is not quite the same. Look, write a comment, your opinion is interesting! And take care yourself, I'm still in quarantine until March 31st,home sitting).
