I happen to like that watch, and what it says about the kind of man who wears one--which is: "fuck it, I'm going to the beach."

Oris are definitely not given enough credit by watch enthusiasts for their recent vintage looking models. Perhaps the fact that they have a Sellita movement is to blame? (I totally acknowledge that technically, ETA and Sellita are equivalent, it's rather a historical preference that watch enthusiasts seem to have).

BobrazMaybe. For some reason the Sellita seem to be louder than the ETA (Although I don't have a big sample size). It is quite an awkward price point though. If I didn't love the design I would definitely spend a extra couple hundred on a 36mm Tudor Black Bay. Something that for only a little more (as a percentage) is better regulated but with more or less the same movement.

TwentySixAndI had the Tudor Black Bay Heritage 41, and every time I would wear it, I would wonder if I'd prefer the 36mm version. Perhaps yes, perhaps not, or perhaps a hypothetical 38mm would have been even more perfect.
