Wrist Check

SF Lockdown Day 23: I usually take one watch that’s not a diver when I go to Hawaii. That would be this Seiko GS High Beat GMT. No, I do not take this to the beach or pool. I bring other watches for that like my SKXs or Turtles. Instead, I wear this for a nice dinner where the attire is Aloha crisp. That means no shorts and flip flops but, instead, an Aloha shirt and slacks. I’ve worn this watch while enjoying a French-Japonais Wagyu Kaiseki at Vintage Cave Club or a Chilean Sea Bass at La Mer, as well as shorts, t-shirt and flip-flops lunch at the Raindbow Drive-In, the watch is perfect for any attire and it just completely flies under the radar. This is my go to non-water-sport vacation watch. Take care and slow the spread by maintaining your distance 😷.

Bad form, Bruh, bad form!

RayFI’m one of the 16.8 millions out of work and I’m 100% certain that there are thousands of others who had to cancel their trip during Easter Week. I’m probably the only one who mentioned it on my wrist check because I like to tell the story of why I’m choosing a certain watch that I’m wearing. In addition, what I’ve done in the past has nothing to do with the current situation, lol. I’m merely demonstrating the versatility of the watch and that’s why I mentioned the watch can be worn with shorts, t-shirt and flip flops while eating $8 lunch plates. Well, if someone posted a wrist check of an expensive today, I wouldn’t call that bad form, would I? I would not comment and say “16.8 million Americans are out of work, and out of money” why are you posting an expensive watch. When and how they purchased the watch is irrelevant and has nothing to do with the current situation. Maybe they didn’t purchase the watch. What if the watch was inherited? Or what if were given to them for a special milestone? Even if they did purchase the watch, there’s nothing wrong with it. For the record, the Wagyu-Kaiseki was paid for by the bride and groom who had their wedding reception Vintage Cave Club. Moving forward, I won’t tell a story on my wrist checks anymore since it might be rub others the wrong and and considered bad form and I don’t want to do that.

CeeBassReally wasn’t the wasn’t the watch (although you do seem to be the GS King) more the three consecutive post about the much lamented, lost Hawaii vacation. Truly a bummer but so many others (probably members) are facing tougher issues by comparison. Just a thought for consideration.
