I know these watches might be a big too big on my wrists but they do look a lot better in person.

There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
[image] And this isn't either of them! [image] The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: [image] The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now, at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

Psst: I've got an inside tip for you!
[image] (but you've got to promise to keep it under your hat...) Nothing annoys me more than finding out about a cool watch, the day after they sell out! I imagine that kind of thing bugs you too? Well that's not going to happen today because, buddy, you're in the loop! That little beauty up top is a genuine microbrand phenom called the Helm Vanuatu. I've wanted one for a while but my timing has always been off. But your timing is going to be spot-on, because Friday, November 8, at 21:00 UTC, Vanuatu preorders go live! That means you've got plenty of time to plan your move. Couple things you might want to know first: A) they cost $275 plus $30 for worldwide shipping (I say that's a bargain), and B) you have to pay your tab, in-full, up front--meaning if the guy takes all your money and moves to Utah under an assumed name, you're screwed (actually he'd be screwed too--ever been to Utah?) Ha--kidding of course, I love Utah. Okay, here's all the stuff Helm told me (you'll have...

Massdrop Special: SQUALE
I haven't seen a Pepsi bezel diver out there worth anything other than the Rolex and Seiko. Seems like a Squale 1545 with a blue and red bezel would be perfect for a Massdrop special- Squale doesn't make one, but if enough people are interested, I bet they'd do a limited run. I don't have a Squale yet and haven't seen them here yet- anyone else interested? I'd like to knock two birds down with one stone- grab a Squale 1545 and a Pepsi bezel watch at the same time.

As much a fan of the bracelet as I am of the watch. Jubilees in general, but in this case, Strapcode's version (forget what they're calling it these days), but even the OEM Seiko was nice. Tried...
