It is shipped through PhilPost. You might have to claim it at your local PhilPost and pay P112. Be wary though, you might be charged at customs if it's over $200. It doesn't happen 100% of the time though. I've bought watches worth over $1000 and not get charged, but I've also bought $400 watches and got charged P5100, which I believe is the maximum amount customs can charge you, regardless of the value of your item. If you're buying an item over $200 and don't want the stress of being charged by customs, I suggest you use shippingcart.com.

mcabrielIt was actually through eBay, not here, but the shipping process is exactly the same so I shared my experience here. Massdrop takes 2-4 weeks, sometimes even more. Anyhow, I purchased this watch twice. SEIKO PROSPEX SZSC005 Automatic Diver Scuba Watch Limited Edition GREEN MONSTER. The first purchase, I did not get charged. I was purchasing it for a friend. I loved it so much that I had to purchase another one for myself. I got charged the second time. Bummer. I've bought about 8 watches over $600 on eBay and got charged 3x. Customs is a hit or miss. You just gotta pray you don't get charged.

RusseljaoHow much did you get the SZSC005 in USD and how much they charged you when customs 'hit' your package? I'm planning to get one in ebay since it is the cheapest I've seen so far for the emerald monster.

I see that's good to hear. But the 5k PHP for watch amounting to 25k PHP is ridiculous IMO. Should be around 3k only

RusseljaoWithout u saying that is it shipped through PhilPost, I would have never found out that my parcel has been sitting there for over a week. The item that I bought were keycaps which cost around $40. Thank you very much for your information and yeah I also paid P112 even though I picked it up there myself.

RusseljaoUPDATE: As of Jan 2020, as I got more experienced with international shipping, I find out I was totally wrong. P5100 is not the highest customs can charge us. It's percentage based, somewhere in the line of 12% + 12% + other fees. My friend bought 1 muffler for his big bike worth 60k+, customs fee was around 15-18k I can't remember. So yeah, careful what you buy. That being said, I just purchased their Panda headphones. Hehehe

RusseljaoThinking of purchasing one too. Did you use a freight forwarder (If yes which one) or straight from the drop website? your answer would be really much appreciated

VyphogridAnother update. As of March 2020, I learned: Tax is computed as follows: A. (Value of item + insurance) * conversion rate * duty/tariff rate (ranges from 1% up to 15%) Duty/tariff rate (Depends on what item you're importing. Can be accessed here http://finder.tariffcommission.gov.ph/ B. (Converted rate + A + 30) * 12% vat C. A + B + 30 SAMPLE: (As of Feb 2020) ITEM: Peak Design Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod A. ($599.96 + 11.09) * 50.504 * 15% = 4,629.07 B. (30860.47 + 4629.07 + 30) * 12% vat = 4,262.34 C. 4629.07 + 4262.34 + 30 = 8921.41 ** Tax will be P8921.41 + money gram fees ** Taxable amount will depend heavily on what material your item is made of. For my parcel, my item was charged with a duty rate of 15%. But I found out through this website http://finder.tariffcommission.gov.ph/ that "carbon fiber" tripods should be just 5% instead of 15%. Plastic and aluminum tripods are charged 15%. I emailed BOC and they corrected it. They reply fast to emails. In the end, instead of paying 8900, I paid 5000+

RusseljaoI read that your computation went from 8900 to 5000+. I just want to ask by how much would customs charge me with my order worth $655. Its a keycap set from GMK, this is around 4 boxes. Thank you in advance. :)
