The last time I wore a watch was probably 20+ years ago. As I get older, I refer having less stuffs on my body. So the only things I carry with me now are my wallet and my phone. I know I need a dress watch to wear with suits (which I rarely wear). I am thinking of getting a smart watch to substitute for a dress watch. Any idea which smart watch is classy enough to get?

Jonathan-LeJonathan, this depends on a number of things. For one, the budget that you are looking for. For instance, Tag Heuer makes a smart watch, but that one rings in at a princely sum of $1,500.
It also depends on what phone you have. If you have an iPhone, the Apple Watch will be nearly impossible to beat. I would recommend this for any iPhone user, as they have two sizes (38mm and 42mm) that will fit just about anybody’s preference, and you have the option of getting a leather strap, which can be done thru Apple for quite a large price, or you can find a much cheaper third party alternative. Generally speaking, I’ve seen the Apple watches go from $199 up to $400 or $500, depending on model and materials choosen.
If if you have an Android phone, I’d probably go with the Samsung Gear S3 Classic, as that one has a much more classy and traditional look. I believe this one starts around $349.
As far as traditional watch manufacturers go, Movado makes a smart watch that is compatible with android and a lesser extent with iPhones called the Connect. This one starts at $595, and can go up to $895, depending on strap options chosen.
Hope this helps!

Have you seen Frederique Constant's line of smartwatch? It does less than the Apple Watch or a more... Functional (?) smartwatch. But they look damn good.

Jonathan-LeAn Apple Watch can look rather stunning with the right strap, beautifully finished build and enigmatic shinny-black face, but, if you’re only going to wear a dress watch occasionally or rarely, my suggestion would be one of the many versions of the Orient Bambino. Many can easily be dressed up (they generally come with very wearable dressy straps) or down with a NATO. They’re affordable, flexible, dependable, well made and can pass muster in any situation. The latest version - small seconds - is a real winner. Also, the Symphony offers the same classic looks only without hand winding or hacking.

I second this opinion, but if you're dead set on a smartwatch take a look at Montblanc's "Summit" smartwatches in addition to TAG's "Connected" line. They are, in my opinion, classier than the TAGs and a bit less expensive.

Jonathan-LeGo for the Seiko line - you get so much worth for your money. Would recommend the SARB033 in black and change the strap to black leather or the SARB035 in white and keep the metal strap. Also the PRESAGE line in Seiko. They are service free for 10-20 years and quality is very good. You also don´t have to buy a battery because they are automatic :). But this is just my opinion :). Good luck.

Jonathan-LeI picked up a Skagen Hybrid Smartwatch not to long ago, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that a full Smartwatch but it is modifiable with its phone app. I love the Bauhaus style and you can't beat the price.
