Looking for suggestions on a DAC for my 598cs

more_vert
Hey so I'm looking for recommendations on a portable DAC amp for my Senhessier 598cs. Not looking to spend a zillion, just need something functional, optimal and durable. Thanks!

I think the Fiio Q1 Mark II might be the answer you are looking for, its 99$, portable and built nice. https://www.amazon.com/Q1-Mark-II-Native-Amplifier/dp/B0757MH46M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523035109&sr=8-1&keywords=FiiO+Q1+Mark+II

Do you have an amp, or would you need to get on (or get an integrated amp/DAC)? Also, what kind of budget are you looking at?

BetaWarI would need a amp/DAC combo. I don't want to spend a ton but I want to fully enjoy them so if I have to pay a little more to enjoy them so be it. Ideally under 100 but that could be a pipe dream as I am unfamiliar with the cost of such things

SynnOkay, for that price range it is relatively limited (at least for what I know of). There are a couple of AMP/DAC combo drops available right now that fit the bill: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/udac-3-amp-dac ($60) https://www.massdrop.com/buy/smsl-m3-dac-amp ($65)
In this case, I don't have experience with either of them, but on paper the m3 has better specs than the udac 3.
Alternatively, you could go with something like the Schiit Fulla 2 ($100), which I don't have experience with; or if you wanted to go a bit higher, there is the Creative SoundBlasterX G5 ($130) that also comes with software equalizer (requires their software to set up, but not to use), mic input, and a few other features. I personally use that at home when gaming (at least for the time being) and it works out pretty well.
