Are these like the stock pads for 58x, cause the stock pads make crackle noises and drives me nuts, how do the different versions change the sound?

The earpads themselves shouldn't make any such sound & the only place it may come from (which in mine doesn't) is the plastic at the base of the pads meeting the headphones themselves. The cracle noises may come from the pads not being inserted properly or they just came off a little bit? Try to take them out (it's so easy you won't break anything for sure) and reinsert them. Hope this helps.

After some careful listening tests, I would recommend against switching to the fenestrated leather pads. The sound is far inferior to the stock pads.

BassoundsIf they really "soften" the highs and mids, I wouldn't bother changing at all. 58x have already suppressed treble which is not the greatest thing especially when you are in mid 40's.

I replaced the stock HD 6XX pads with the fenestrated sheep skin pads and find they are more comfortable and give a better seal. The sound is very similar but even better bass response.
