Than you all for the great advice!
As far as print goes, I don't believe I have printed a photo in the last 8 years; except maybe in family memory books, and there I didn't actually choose any of the images (I think the largest the books can hold is 8x11 anyway) I just submit them, along with all the other photos the rest of the family took during vacation and someone puts together the ones they think would make for the best memories out of all the photos taken.
That being said, I completely agree that megapixel count is almost useless these days. Even 18 MP images have to be scaled down to fix on a 4K monitor, so I don't put much weight in that number outside of being shiny.
The one thing that I really find important overall is sensor noise, but sadly, it doesn't appear that Canon has done horribly well at keeping up with its competition. I just am not sure I want to reinvest what I have spent in jumping companies for better sensors when I fully expect it will continue to change over time. I do wish that more of the Canon sensors looked like they were stiff competition for the Nikon D7100 though...
I had been leaning towards just getting additional lenses, and it sounds like that is the popular opinion as well. I just wanted to get the opinions of more experienced photographers since I am not overly knowledgeable on these things.
