the zendac works awesome for its price. it's clean and clear, runs what ever i have thrown at it from cheap earbuds to hd600's. currently they are running a set of jbl 104 speakers. I highly recommend them. i have not though installed the new firmware update.

It's great for what I use it for, but it's not my "best" dac. I'm also using a Geshellie labs enog 2, aune s7, smsl m200 and others. Each one does something different, and headphones sound different on each.

Distortion with playing music from iTunes on my Mac with my HD6XX headphone!?
Here's my setup - Cambridge Audio DacMagic, Monolith THX 887 Amp. When listening to lossless music from Apple Music from my iPhone, it works fine. But somehow switching it over to connect to my MacBook Pro, the sound is greatly distorted!? The odd thing is with this setup, playing a Music Video from iTunes or youtube, it sounds fine. The terrible distortion happens only when I play any songs from Apple Music. What could be the reason?! My MacBook Pro is running Mac OS Big Sur which supports Apple lossless. Anyone having similar problem?!

Graphene Sings
Some technical leaps happen without all the fanfare, though this one sings it’s own. Tube Audio Leaps Ahead of Solid State Using Graphene! Congratulations to Charles Whitener and all of the Western Electric team who are working diligently to bring the sound back,, to life, for us. https://www.westernelectric.com/blog/application-note-11202020 The synergies between old and new technologies, can simply amaze. This enigmatic siren song 300B tube, now incorporates one of the most advanced thin film technologies we have today, Graphene. WE is utilizing ALD to deposit Graphene, a technology of the future being used to produce quantum computers, Atomic Layer Deposition.

THX AAA 789 Amazing sound
Online reviews spoke highly, but I was suprised by the detail in the sound. I was using a Dac/amp with an msrp of 1400 so I did not expect much. I did notice an immediate clarity improvement. Music, specifically words were no longer blurred.Singers seemed to make more of an effort to enunciate words more. Even using a $100 DAC the sound was top notch. Drop hit a home run with this product.
