ABOUT THE PRODUCT - I DON'T KNOW, I DON'T HAVE IT YET, ABOUT DROP - THE WORST SHOP ONLINE FOR EUROPE IN MY OPINION

Hi, I'm from Spain, and I have purchased the THX AAA 789 linear amplifier by drop. Here are some thoughts. First of all, more or less 1 month ago I would have liked to buy the Focal Elex, and for my surprise YOU CAN'T BUY IT. Let me see, I'm just here, literally 1 hour to Focal headquartes, and I CANNOT BUY IT??? ok, don't worry, I hace a pair of Elear, so let's see which amplifier I can buy to match them. I go for the THX 789. After 20 days of waiting, I see a letter from CUSTOMS (this is the FIRST TIME IN OVER 12 YEARS BUYING ONLINE FROM COUNTRIES LIKE TAIWAN, USA AND SO THAT I RECIEVE A LETTER FROM CUSTOMS...) telling me to create an account and send them personal documents, receipt, telling me to sign on line a form and, the worst part, to PAY 90 EUROS (33% OF THE TOTAL AMMOUNT) as taxes, handling and IVA. So, apart from having to change all the connections, apart from having to wait much more than buying in my country, apart from having issue with a possible return, I cannot have the only one positive thing which is, JUST IN THIS MOMENT, to take advantage of Drop prices policy and the current currency exchange???? wonderful stuff.... It's increidble like in 2020 an online shop seems not to want to sell products in Europe, so don't worry, I will never purchase anything from Drop as long as they will not open a branch in here, and as I can see I'm not the first one as angry as I am. Thank you

Since you are so close to Focal's headquarters feel free to go down there and share your concerns. The agreement with Massdrop/Drop prevents them from selling it outside of the USA. You really think Drop would limit their market by choice? Absurd and not based in reality. Oh and hop a train to Brussels and complain to the EU about import taxes. Your hate is misplaced, those other vendors bypassed import laws. Let me re-frame your post: "I am very angry that Focal doesn't want to cannibalize their Elear sales outside of the US, where they weren't selling that well to begin with. I own the Elear, so Focal was right the Elex would impact sales in my region. I am also upset that my State/Federation requires import taxes that are quite high relative to the rest of the world and that makes me angry too." Neither of these are Drop's problem my friend.
