Hi Friends, It’s a big day for us here at Drop as we announce an exciting new feature: Brand Spotlights. Brand Spotlights are a new way for us to highlight our proven, long-standing partners. And we’re not working with just any brand, but true leaders in their respective communities. What does that mean for you? Expect a large selection of products at different price levels—some retail, some at a discount, and some exclusives you’ll only find on Drop—direct from the brand to you. For our first Brand Spotlight, we’ve partnered with the distinguished watch brand Bulova. Boasting 145 years of watchmaking experience, Bulova is an industry pioneer. Its timepieces are made with an unwavering drive for perfection and precision, and they run the gamut from dressy to rugged and everything in between. Starting next Tuesday, we’ll be hosting Bulova in the Watches Community for 3 days. While we don’t want to spoil the surprise, we can tell you there will be some very compelling watches, no matter your taste. How will this impact your experience? Well, when you go to Shop: Watches during the first few days of the Spotlight, things will look a little different. There will be a wide selection of products (in fact, a wider selection than you’ve ever seen on the site) from the featured brand. Following that launch period, the Shop: Watches tab will revert back to normal. We can’t wait to spotlight some of our great partners over the next few months, and we look forward to bringing our community top-notch products from the brands we love and trust. Best, The Drop Team

This could potentially be exciting - Bulova has some nice models, especially some of their vintage resurrections, the one they have pictured, for instance.

The way things are going, we may be wearing space suits in the office. The I will wear two Bulovas - one on each wrist. And Seiko Pogue around my neck.

He is right, for some reason more affordable watches with Miyota movements don't seem to be as accurate as high end watches with more accurate movements. We will probably never know why!

TwentySixAnd Since reliable, accurate, and discernible aren't terms we associate with MD, particularly on the subject of watches, we can forgive the little General for assuming a photo of A-15 is the mystery watch they were referring to when they said: "While we don’t want to spoil the surprise, we can tell you there will be some very compelling watches...) Not sure how someone could say that while showing a photo of a specific watch, and then have it turn out that very same watch was indeed the watch that they said was a surprise--but, this is MD. So while it's entirely possible the big secret is not a big secret at all, and just a staler version of Bulova's earlier product announcement, the Hack Military lineup: https://wornandwound.com/bulova-debuts-a-new-military-collection-with-a-classic-hack-and-a-unique-pilots-watch/ if that is the case, it would truly be a letdown wrapped in a disappointment (aka: classic MD). I on the other hand (being ever the eternal optimist that I am), interpret MD's message (clear as if from the The Oracle of Delphi herself) to mean we will be seeing some of Bulova's more interesting/eclectic watches. Certainly the Lunar Pilot would be great, but (be still my beating heart) what if they surprised us with a few offerings from Bulova's Devil Diver assortment?!

I know--I'm probably setting myself up for a fall, but stranger things have happened--almost daily on this site ;- )
