Drop Invyr Holy Panda on a Drop Alt Mech. Board

more_vert
Hello :-) , since i am pretty new to Mechanical Keyboards i have a question about the Switches and the Board. I ordered the Holy Panda key switches from Drop sometime ago. After a bit of „research“ and a recent Youtube video i saw that the holy panda switches didn't fit on the Drop Alt ? In that video you had to cut the switch to fit in properly is that true ? Before i saw that video it was pretty clear that i‘am going to order the Drop Alt Keyb. Because i am in need of a hot swappable Board to use the Holy Pandas so do i need to cut my pandas to fit in this Board ? If i do , do you guys can recommend me a board where i don‘t need to do it and just swap them in ? best regards

I have them in my hi-profile CTRL at the moment. I don't think there'd be a problem with the ALT.
They will fit. The tolerances might be tight though

erickongThanks for the fast reply :) so i don‘t have to cut some pins off the switches ? what do you mean by tight , is it hard to plug them into the pcb ? greetings
iZallGuHoly pandas are plate mount not PCB mount. The Drop keyboards only accept plate mount at the moment. You would have to cut legs if the switches were PCB mount. And yes, it might be hard to plug them in
