Still question I understand. RGB PCB in this case? I would like the back lighting of the EZ version but in the case of the kit version.

Is that really a question? :-) Yes the PCB does support RGB underglow, but not out of the box - you have to solder the LED modules yourself. Yes, it doesn't make much sense for the alu case, but you could probably get an aftermarket acrylic one. Interestingly enough the Preonic had that as an option right here on Drop.

x_23Yeah, I think that's because the EZ doesn't support Alps switches, only MX. The usual layout on non-hotswap boards is a set of holes for both MX and Alps switches on one side of the centre hole (usually the top) and LED backlight holes on the other. Here, the hotswap socket forces the Alps holes to the other side, which then leaves no room for the LEDs...
