Wow, thanks everyone for your interest in the table! For those of you interested wanting this table, the plan we started with was the "Deluxe Sewing Center Plan" from Rockler. Here's a direct link: http://www.rockler.com/deluxe-sewing-center-plan
The mechanism is available from Rockler as well: http://www.rockler.com/sewing-machine-lift-mechanism
Keep in mind that the plan was heavily modified from its original form to center the needle, provide supplemental storage on the door, and accommodate storage for two ancillary machines.
In terms of the carpenter, this was the first sewing machine table that he has ever made, and he took a ton of time to work with us on the customization and modifications. He spent over 6 hours at our home assembling and calibrating everything after the weeks in his workshop fabricating all of the pieces. I'll check in with him to see if he's interested in going through all of that again (I don't want to post his contact info without his permission, he'll wonder why he's suddenly getting inundated with dozens of calls from crazy quilters!)
If there are enough people interested, maybe we can get @SandyLucas to setup a drop for the mechanism :)

Kevinthanks for the info Kevin, these plans are great for a starting off point. i personally would want a custom table much different in design and aesthtic from the one shown here but with all the same concepts, so i would commission him (or another cabinet/funiture maker for that matter) for a piece.
would love to see items like these, though, offered here on Masssdrop. from higher end to lower end i am sure there would be interest!
