Are the HD6XX cables supposed to be super sensitive?

more_vert
I recently got the HD6XX and i really like them, but the top part of the cable (the double fork looking thing) is really sensitive and any light touch to their side immediately disables any audio to that part of the headphone. Many times ill type something on the keyboard and lightly touch the top connector and all sound to that side stops. This is easily fixed by sorta tilting it back into place, but im thinking maby get new cables if its not normal. Also the tilting is not to its "shortside" but to the "longside" like it tits toward one of the prongs. Ps. english is my second language

Not normal, but the stock cable for the HD 6XX is garbage. I suggest getting an aftermarket cable (doesn't have to be expensive, and I suggest against something expensive anyhow since they cost more than your headphone).

I suggest replacing the cable, mine refused to work like yours after a short while. Had to juggle it and any slight touch of hand cancels out the noise that got me so irritated, I went on amazon and had it replaced. The original cable is not made to last and definitely not quality material.

Check the cable connections at the headphone. There are a large and small pins, they orient to the corresponding R&L letters, when facing out, firmly seat - fully inserted. Make sure the pin sockets are not all bunged up... old design... The other issue may be a busted wire(s) inside the cable, bad solder joint, that’s a return. video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fuydiw-BtlI
