Hamilton Air Race takes first place.

You get a mighty Big Bang for your buck with a Hamilton Khaki Air Race. It exceeds my expectations for the money. For US $300 I get a Swiss made (ex USA) Hamilton shock resistant, automatic movement, 100m (330 ft) of water resistance & a Sapphire crystal glass. No other mechanical watch I have has an 80 hour power reserve. I chose the 38mm Black dial with large Orange numbers, markers & hands with date complication. I have a smaller wrist & this watch fits me just beautifully & is very easy to read. It's simple, elegant design is super functional & can be worn equally in the bush or as a casual wear with jeans & a T shirt. This model has a very durable thick leather band with double tyne buckle, perfect for its designed function. I usually remove most bands in favour of an aftermarket choice. I find myself wearing the Hamilton Air Race more often than most of my other, more expensive watches of which I have 12 in total. I have made two modifications to this watch: 1. I have added a "cyclops" over the date window. 2. I coloured the white stitching on the Black band with an Orange permanent marker. I would humbly ask Swatch Group to improve the Luminosity of the hands, numbers & markers as it is VERY poor at night & fades within 1 minute even after exposure to an intense light source. If they do this & add a magnifier over the date, this watch would be unbeatable.
